Dental Checkups & Cleanings

The American Dental Association as well as our team recommend visiting our office every six months for routine checkups and cleanings. At these appointments, we’ll clear away all plaque and tartar from the surface of your teeth and along your gumline as well as remove surface stains. Dr. Weedman will also examine your smile and take X-rays, look for any signs of oral health problems, and conduct an oral cancer screening. If we spot anything, our team will provide you with a treatment plan to address the issue.
Gum Disease Treatment

Gum disease is one of the most common oral health problems in the nation, estimated to impact one out of every two adults in the United States according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Weedman and our team can help treat the symptoms of this common oral infection with non-surgical periodontal therapy, more commonly known as a deep cleaning.
Children’s Dentistry

Dr. Weedman and our long-standing team at Six Summits Dentistry love working with children. In fact, our staff’s friendly, personable, and gentle nature allows young patients to feel incredibly comfortable at our office. We’re proud to offer several kid-friendly preventive treatments to help ward off the threat of cavities as well as offer referrals to pediatric dentists whenever needed!
Fluoride Treatment

We offer preventive fluoride treatments as well as silver diamine fluoride, which helps arrest and protect against the early stages of cavities. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that’s used to help fortify the tooth enamel, which is the outermost protective layer of teeth that shields the more vulnerable underlying tissue. We typically recommend these types of treatments for children, but in many cases, adults can also benefit from fluoride application after their dental cleanings.
Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are an excellent, kid-friendly treatment designed to protect hard-to-brush molars from plaque and tartar build-up and cavities. We’ll brush a clear protective coating over the top of your child’s molars and harden them using light. This will provide an umbrella-like covering that keeps food debris and cavity causing bacteria from collecting in the hard-to-reach pits and grooves of the teeth and make them easier to brush. Sealants can last for years, providing your little one with reliable protection against cavities.
Nightguards for Bruxism

Bruxism, better known as unconscious teeth clenching and grinding, is a common issue that can lead to severe dental damage when left unchecked. Dr. Weedman offers custom-fitted nightguards designed to protect your rows of teeth from gnashing against each other, helping prevent the development of TMJ disorder (jaw pain) as well as excessive dental wear and tear. Not only can a nightguard help protect your smile and jaw, but it can do so for years to come!
TMJ Diagnosis & Treatment

TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorder is a condition that affects the two hinges that connect your lower jaw to your skull as well as the surrounding muscles. When these joints and muscles become strained and overworked, it can lead to jaw discomfort, headaches/migraines, neck and back pain, earaches, and more. Our team at Six Summits Dentistry can evaluate your persistent orofacial pain and potentially treat it with customized occlusal splints that you can wear as you sleep, or connect you with the proper treatment specialist.
