Oral Conscious Sedation
Oral conscious sedation is ideal for adults who have moderate to severe dental anxiety, or for those who are in need of a lengthy procedure. Before your appointment, Dr. Weedman will prescribe you medication. You’ll take it about an hour before your appointment, so by the time you arrive at our office, you’ll already feel the relaxing effects of the sedation. Because of its potency, you’ll need to be prepared to have a trusted friend or family member ready to drive you to and from your appointment.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Our team will place a small mask over your nose that will allow you to breathe in a colorless, odorless gas. Quickly, you’ll feel a calming wave wash over you that will help your anxieties and fears float away. After your treatment is complete, our team will remove the mask. Within moments, the effects will dissipate, allowing you to carry on with the rest of your day as you typically would.
